MADS’ STUDENT FREDRIK STRAND HALLAND TO APPEAR ON NATIONAL TELEVISION The sensational blues guitar wiz kid, 11-year old Fredrik Strand Halland, is to appear on the TV program Norge Rundt on NRK1 on Friday August 19. The program will include a live sequence from Logen Bar in Bergen, during which you can see Mads and Chris Thompson/Mads Eriksen drummer Steinar Krokstad becomingly modest in the background. Fredrik has been a student of Mads’ since 2 years. Be prepared to get blown away! NEW RECORD FROM MADS But maybe not exactly what you would imagine Mads has set a new personal record in Stolzekleiven, the ridiculously steep and gruelling mountain walk from Fjellveien in Bergen the new record is 15:56. (Minutes, not hours...) Quite respectable, although Mads is the first to admit that he can’t threaten the top athletes yet but he feels that for rock guitarists his age it’s above average! 09/07 2005: MORE GIGS IN AUGUSTMORE GIGS IN AUGUST FOR CHRIS AND MADS Three more shows have been added to Chris Thompson/Mads Eriksen’s playlist in August. Chris wrote this song in the mid-80’s, and it was a huge hit all over the world with Australian singer John Farnham.
